How much is an original soccer ball worth?

Hey, football fans and collectors – original footballs are simply something special! The pros play with these balls, and with an official match ball in your hand, you too can feel a bit like a professional. Whether you’re a passionate freekicker, footgolfer, or collector – there’s something here for everyone.

Some swear by certain models, like the legendary Jabulani from 2010, which, despite its slight wobble, boasts fantastic flight characteristics. Others collect these balls as true rarities – sometimes even with an autograph on an unused ball. Whether you’re after performance or collector value, one question remains for everyone:

What is your favorite ball really worth?

The price of an original ball depends on many factors, such as:

  • market availability,
  • demand,
  • the condition of the ball, and
  • its intended use.

When it comes to the price of original footballs, several factors come into play. For one, there’s the original retail price (RRP), which was often in the moderate range of around €120 to €150. Nowadays, the new prices for these models are often significantly lower – depending on the ball, you can find new examples starting at around €50, while especially coveted or limited editions can reach prices of up to €350. The used market also shows a wide range: depending on condition and rarity, used balls are generally traded between €35 and €200. These price ranges depend on market availability, demand, and the overall condition of the ball. A helpful tip: Use eBay’s filter for sold items to get a realistic overview of the prices at which the respective models are currently being sold. This way, you can make informed decisions before investing in your favorite ball.
